32 July 2012 BTM LOST PARADISE OF DILMUN Summer Escapade If the numerous rides, slides and activities aren’t reason enough to visit the Kingdom’s largest water park, then revel in the added temptation of this month’s summer festival. This year’s event will highlight not only the water park’s attractions but will also showcase the biggest and brightest talents in the Kingdom. Celebrations begin this month with the arrival of an original Dragon and Lion dance troupe from China. The group will perform three colourful shows per day from July 6-19. Next up is the ‘Campus Dance Showdown’ on July 7. The competition will see talents from students across the country showcase their different skills in dancing and movements. From jazz to hip-hop to ballroom, this dance competition is sure to make waves amongst the youth. The little ones will also be showing off their talent this summer as Lost Paradise of Dilmun (LPOD) brings ‘Kids got Talent Too’ on July 13. All children are welcome to take part and exciting prizes and gifts will be awarded to the contest’s winners. In addition to all of this, the park has recently welcomed new attractions such as the fish spa, kiddies’ karts, zip line and other activities. Plus the festival will host a children’s activity area with games, face painting, arts and crafts, mascots, magic shows and cartoon characters to keep the little ones busy.
