Great British Week Royal Philharmonic Orchestra The Kingdom gets a taste of some classical pop symphonies, courtesy of this celebrated group. Having performed in prestigious concert halls and venues in the UK and around the world, the orchestra is known for its versatile renditions comprising classical, light classical and popular music. Their performances last year include four shows with Boston Ballet at the London Coliseum, an Elgar celebration concert in his home town of Malvern on the composer’s birthday, and live performances to the screening of two iconic films at the Royal Albert Hall — Singin’ in the Rain and Fantasia. They cast their spell on the Kingdom on January 16 at 9pm at the National Theatre.
