Featuring everything from food to household items and even electronics, all four branches of the retail outlet will be packed with authentic products and brands from all over the UK. You can easily whip up a traditional British meal, such as the fish and chips or Sunday roast, by choosing from the classic British dishes offered in both the hot and cold food sections. The stores will also put up stalls of British product samples in various aisles. Goods that hail from the UK will be highlighted with the British flag in their respective stands. “Lulu Hypermarket has one of the widest ranges of British products. We have our own logistics and warehousing facility in Birmingham to service our entire hypermarket chain. We are delighted to showcase the best of Britain at this festival. Besides special promotions on British products, there will be a focus on British food, cheeses and drinks. Home goods and electronics will also be showcased,” said regional director Juzer Rupawala. Plans are abuzz to decorate all the Lulu Hypermarkets in Bahrain — Riffa, A’ali (Ramli Mall), Hidd and Dana Mall — with the Union Jack and replicas of famous British monuments. Several local British establishments have been invited to take part in the event while local British community members can participate by displaying their products and services during the festival. Tourism to the UK will be promoted by different travel agencies throughout the week. Lulu Hypermarket is the retail division of multidimensional and multinational EMKE group. The Bahrain division has recently become the first hypermarket to win the ISO 22000:2005 accreditation.
