I believe this diverse international experience has given me an open, flexible and positive outlook, which informs my work. As a good friend of mine says: “Every experience, good or bad, counts and adds to your story.” What experience and expertise do you bring to the jury panel? As a licensed psychologist working in human resources, I have relevant experience in assessing individual achievements and performance, which is a key skill for this panel. My diverse career will also support me in reviewing nominees across the awards’ many different categories. What qualities, achievements and personal values will you look for when assessing this year’s nominees? I will be looking particularly for consistency, drive and resilience. We can all do remarkable things once, but continuing to show up, no matter what, is what sets extraordinary people apart from others. What message would you like to share with the women nominated for the Woman of the Year Awards 2026? If you have been nominated, congratulations. You have already made a difference in someone’s life. Winning would be the icing on the cake, but being nominated is already a fabulous achievement. Good luck in the finals! Is there anything else you would like to add? I am honoured and delighted to contribute my experience to an initiative that brings joy and motivation to the remarkable women who call Bahrain home. What does it mean to you to serve as a jury member for the Woman of the Year Awards 2026? These prestigious awards were long overdue in Bahrain and celebrate the achievements of women who serve as role models for the next generation, both women and men. Across the globe, women generally have to work harder than their male counterparts to be seen and heard. Awards such as these showcase their determination and success. What are your thoughts on the awards and their role in recognising and celebrating women’s achievements in Bahrain? I believe the awards are diverse and eclectic, giving women from all fields the opportunity to be nominated and recognised. This level of inclusion makes the awards accessible to everyone, which is rare. How has your career journey shaped the professional you are today? My career spans four decades, numerous sectors and nine countries, including every GCC nation. I have worked across fields including finance, Managing Director of Gulf Oasis Consultancy and an ICEF and British Council accredited agent, joins the 2026 Woman of the Year Awards jury, bringing extensive international experience.
