As hot as the Sahara, Aly & Fila are the most successful group to have emerged from Egypt, where they have a large and loyal following. The turntable Shamans, Aly Amr Fathalah and Fadi Wassef Naguib, have gone global with master-blasters We Control The Sunlight, Perfect Love, Running Out of Time and Mysteries Unfold. Ranked as one of the 20 biggest DJ acts in EDM in DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs 2013, they delight crowds, now numbered annually in the millions, bringing their inimitable sound to the world’s most prestigious clubs and festivals. The pair have also appeared at some of EDM’s biggest festivals – ED-Las Vegas, Tomorrowland, Global Gathering, Dance Valley, Stereosonic, WMC and Full On Ferry to name just a few. Playing alongside them, Chris Metcalfe is another global name and former resident at the UK’s biggest dance venue, Club M Tall Trees, and DJ Odette has carved a name for herself as the Middle East’s only female trance DJ. Sky Bar, Hotel Diva Beat Beach Music Festival returns with the last event before winter. Expect a massive lineup of DJs playing mixed genres and your favourite tunes all day and all night. As usual there’ll be two dance floors – the Main Stage, with some of the island’s best spinners playing hip hop, R&B and EDM; and the Underground Room featuring underground house and techno. There’ll also be an LED display, fire dancers and lots of surprises on the day. On the Main Stage you’ll find VJMP3 and DJs Jackson, Cossta, Santi and Shortman, Riddler, Swif, Sasy and Odette, while in the Underground Room you can catch tunes from Aaron Wolf, Denzel, Simba, Yofo and Kreakx. Coral Bay BEACH MUSIC FESTIVAL TURNTABLE SHAMANS HOI POLLOI PARTY To welcome winter, the Vibes guys are kicking off their new season with a new theme. Vibes will be hitting The Gulf Hotel delivering the highenergy atmosphere and fun-loving party crowd you’ve come to expect. This promises to be an event to remember, as they wind back the clock to the ‘80s, with international DJ Jared McCulloch from Doha and many other treats to be announced over the coming weeks, to ensure the night is a riot. The musical style for the night is funk, soul and disco, moving onto 1980s’ house and adding some nu disco to keep the party going right through the night. Bahrain favourite, DJ Cossta, will be warming up the decks at the beginning of what promises to be a really fun evening. Doors open at 7pm and the venue is limited to 250 people.
