MENA Rally, participants will take part in a variety of activities and sightseeing rides across the Kingdom. Last year took place over seven pitches at multiple venues from the Rugby Club in Saar, to the RCSI grounds in Busaiteen, as well as the national stadium’s back pitches. It had over 80 teams from clubs across the entire GCC represented in children’s, men’s and ladies’ events both at a serious and social level. Whilst the Gaelic football goes back to Bahrain RFC’s previous site in the early 90s, the hurling has only just started to really take off despite the occasional game having been played before. This year will see Bahrain RFC host some junior games on the Thursday afternoon before the adults take to the pitch later on, with play expected to go on well into the evening. A Gaelic music festival traditionally follows Friday’s Gaelic Football Tournament with a variety of acts entertaining spectators and players alike. The main acts are the Harleys and the Paddyman.
