The participating banks will partially fund the social housing project, and Diyar Al Muharraq will bear responsibility for financing and constructing all units as well as the initial infrastructure and public utilities. Located in the heart of Diyar Al Muharraq, the Deerat Al Oyoun community will span 1.2 million square metres and will comprise a residential community with integrated services centres and green spaces. Its strategic location also places it in close proximity to schools, shopping malls, public beaches, recreational facilities, mosques, medical facilities and a modern transportation network. The anticipated date for the project’s first phase completion is February 2018. Bahrain Cinema Company (Cineco), market leaders in the Kingdom’s entertainment industry, and Majid Al Futtaim Cinemas, the dedicated cinema arm of Majid Al Futtaim, have announced a joint venture which will operate and expand the current 8,000sq/m cinema at Majid Al Futtaim’s City Centre Bahrain mall. The joint venture partners are reviewing plans to upgrade and extend the cinema, with the new entertainment Megaplex expected to boast countless points of difference, including a large 4DX cinema and the exclusive cinema dining experience ThEATre by Rhodes, the brainchild of Michelin-starred celebrity chef Gary Rhodes, the first of its kind in Bahrain, along with countless other innovative movie experiences.
