Kygo has the honour of being the fastest artist ever to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify and has already amassed 25 global chart hits in just three years. He shot to fame in 2015, having been crowned Spotify’s Breakout Artist that year, with global hits including Firestone (featuring Conrad Sewell) and Stole The Show (featuring Parson James), which was certified gold or platinum in 16 countries. Headlining festivals around the world, Garrix is sure to produce an outstanding concert here in Bahrain, with hits like Animals, Don’t Look Down, Like I Do and more. Garrix has risen to global stardom in pop and electronic dance music circles, founded a label, mentored other artists and won the number one spot in DJ Mag’s Top 100 three times in a row. He has collaborated with other megastars such as Tiesto, Usher, the late Avicii and Dua Lipa. Garrix is only the first of a number of A-list artists who will be performing at BIC at this Grand Prix. Visit bahraingp.com THE RACING Formula 1’s teams and drivers have already begun their preparations for the start of the new season with winter testing in Barcelona, Spain. Early indications point towards another hotly contested championship, and the potential for another humdinger of a Bahrain Grand Prix is “Limitless”. The world championship gets underway in Australia on March 17, with Bahrain following as the second of 21 rounds, giving the drivers everything to race for. The 57-lap sprint in the heart of the Sakhir desert will mark the 999th World Championship race in the history of the top flight. It is being held as part of the landmark 15th season of BIC and it will be the sixth time it is taking place under BIC’s state-of-the-art floodlights as a night race.
