TECHNOLOGY TRENDS MARCH 19 BITEX Gulf Convention Centre The latest trends in technology will be showcased at the Bahrain International Technology Exhibition, alongside the MEET ICT Conference, which will bring all ICT companies under one roof. Bahrain’s position as the Middle East’s most liberal information and communications technology (ICT) market, along with excellent infrastructure, has encouraged many ICT companies to base their regional headquarters in the Kingdom. Visit eventbrite.com HORRIBLE HISTORIES MARCH 18-20 BARMY BRITAIN Cultural Hall All the way from London’s West End comes Barmy Britain the fun educational theatre production from the Horrible Histories series. Brought to you by Entertainment+, the historical comedy show by Birmingham Stage Company is based on the bestselling works of children’s author Terry Deary. True to its name, Horrible Histories: Barmy Britain showcases some of the barmiest moments in British history, highlighting events and individuals that shaped the nation. Encapsulating three of Deary’s popular books, Rotten Romans, Terrible Tudors and Vile Victorians, the show motors through the past, giving young children, as well as older kids, an entertaining insight into British history, in the most memorable and creative way. It’s a great family production for five years and upward. In addition to being factually bang-on, this marvellously conceived show is witty and entertaining, with clever performances and amusing sound effects. Whether you’re a history lover or loather, audiences are guaranteed to be laughing from start to finish. REGGAE TRIBUTE MARCH 15 REGGAE BEACH FESTIVAL Coral Bay Get ready to party at the Bahrain Reggae Beach Festival, tribute to the king of reggae, Bob Marley, featuring the Voice of Holland Mitchel Brunings with the Nazareth Band. Mitchel will be performing live reggae classics, with his band for the first time in Bahrain. Early bird tickets are BD5 for ladies and BD10 for gents.
