Swiss-Belhotel Seef Bahrain is a stylish, new 4-star deluxe hotel located in the heart of the Seef district. The latest member to join its dynamic team is the director of sales and marketing, Yazan Zuhri Abu-Awwad. The young 34-year-old Jordanian has been in the hospitality industry for 14 years, having worked with international chains such as Marriott, Mövenpick, Radisson Blu and Auris Hotels. His last position was with Millennium Copthorne Hotel in Dubai as director of sales and marketing. “I studied hotel management at Applied Science University in Amman, Jordan and worked with many departments for the first three years of my career to learn the basics of the hospitality industry. Then I was dedicated to sales and marketing for nearly 10 years,” he says. With its close proximity to the shopping malls and Seef district becoming the new business hub for the Manama area, Swiss-Belhotel targets both business and leisure clients. The hotel is proud of its services, rooms and location. It boasts a team of experienced staff, mainly coming from 5-star hotel backgrounds, who are passionate about hospitality and excellence in service. “My new role at Swiss-Belhotel is really exciting, especially working with such a brand,” says Yazan. “We are currently expanding in the Middle East quite well. We have a few projects in Saudi Arabia and we are already operational in Kuwait, Doha and Dubai. My role is to maintain our share in the market, plus to be the leader of the 4-star hotels in the market. The Bahrain market is expanding in a very healthy way and so are we.
