Free Music Download Pro Trying to get the music you want can sometimes be a chore. If you want a specific band, album or song, that’s where FMD Pro comes in. It is a platform for you to download music from any of the free repositories online. Shazam What Is It? Listening to a song but don’t know the title or artist? If so, Shazam is the app for you. It’s a free music-identifier service that works by analysing a small portion of a song and crossreferencing it with an online database. It may not be the first of its kind, but thanks to its link with Spotify, it’s definitely one of the best. The Good It not only provides you with the title and artist, but also a link to download or purchase the song and the option to play it through Spotify. This is particularly useful as there are so many remixes and covers of songs these days. One of the great things about Shazam is its range of uses. You can use it when a song is on the radio or is just a short clip of a song in a film you’re watching. More often than not, it will at least point you in the right direction. The Bad Shazam will sometimes be unable to provide a match (though not very often) and exterior noise such as any sound effects in a film or car noise can affect its ability to recognise a song. Unlike some of its rivals, Shazam can’t identify songs that are hummed or sung. Overall, though, there are fewer issues with Shazam when compared to rivals. VERDICT: Shazam is excellent for those moments when you need to know a song or artist by name. This month, we have some apps for the music lovers amongst you.
