July 5 witnesses the return of Bahrain’s biggest and most popular rock concert as Sanitarium returns for the fourth year in a row. Having started back in 2010, the event became an instant success and drew over 21 different acts from all around the Gulf region in its four-year span. To be held at the Shaikh Isa Cultural Hall in Adliya, seven local acts will be featured, including the highly anticipated return of the popular Re-Alive and Morgue. The two were the most recognised bands at Bahrain’s music scene back in the start of the decade and will both play a one-off show this year. Other acts taking part in the concert include the new and talented fusion band Mazaj. The band breaks musical boundaries by mixing Eastern and Western concepts in everchanging musical arrangements. Progressive rockers InsideOut, whose work has received recognition and radio play ever since they started in 2010, are in the line-up. The list concludes with the upcoming Berserk, as well as Sanitarium’s very own band The Experiment. Organisers aim to provide a platform for new bands to take the stage and will hold auditions for anyone who would like to fill up the last spot. Tickets will be sold at BD3 prior to the event and BD4 at the gate for the main (standing) area and BD5 prior to the event and BD6 at the gate for the upper (seated) area, which can also be used to access the main area. Tickets can be purchased at Room 2 Rock in Hamala. E Call 39 775-095. Summer Fiesta The Lost Paradise of Dilmun Waterpark’s biggest annual event is back under the theme ‘Waves of Happiness’.
