You can enjoy the tranquility of the Lagoon and its amenities whilst browsing stalls selling a huge array of products with great deals. Jewellery, children’s clothing, Christmas handmade products, sweets, artwork and much more will be available to buy whilst a live band provides the musical accompaniment. There will also be entertainment for the little ones to enjoy and plenty of refreshments. If you’re a budding entrepreneur, it’s a great opportunity to participate and showcase your products to a wide market. The shopping festival is a monthly event which will run until April and each month will adopt a specific theme that the products sold will centre around. This month the theme is fashion and heritage music with a strong emphasis on a national theme to tie in with National Day. So expect lots of stylish items to be calling your name and you may also find yourself educated in the field of cultural music. Providing the weather permits a sun-filled sky, the second edition of the event is set to be bigger and better than the first with more stalls, more entertainment and more fun. E Call 36 226-440. Charitable Rummage A car boot sale is the best possible solution for making space before Christmas. Clear through all of your belongings and decide what your kids no longer play with, what is no longer used and you will find you have a whole lot more room for new toys, games and books when all of the Christmas presents are unwrapped! The Second Chance car boot sale costs BD5 per car, and all the proceeds will go towards Tony the Dogfather’s rescue centre in Saar. If you don’t fancy selling then pop along for the morning and have a hunt around for some items. Remember what they say — one man’s junk is another man’s treasure… E Call 33 363-352 or 39 629-889.
