Formerly based in the UK, The Explosions have performed around the world including New Zealand, Dubai, Bahrain and Australia and have been around for a while on the world cruise scene. Their sound is a pleasant mixture of hard rock, pop, funk, dance, groove and everything in-between. Trader Vic’s, home to Johnny and his exotic band, adds another musical attraction in the form of four beautiful Cuban ladies playing percussion, saxophone, piccolo and piano. Having previously played at several luxury resorts in Cuba and Florida, the stunning quartet are incredibly happy to be performing in Bahrain. The band plays daily from 9pm until late. Furthermore, from the first week of October, keep an eye-out for a new European trio who will be setting the party scene early-on every evening from 5.30pm until 9pm with a host of classic pop anthems. Talented duo Cris and Toni perform at Sherlock Holmes Bar in Gulf Hotel every Saturday and Tuesday. Cris, who plays the saxphone, guitar and quatro, comes from Cuba and Toni, on vocals, clarinet and guitar is from Ukraine. Together they produce a melodic backdrop to your evenings filling it with jazz, pop, Latin and romantic instrumental tunes. Sionelle Mallon and Byron Abrahams form the talented duo Deux Sons who perform Saturday to Thursday at Mezzanine Lounge in The Westin. From the UK and South Africa respectively, their repertoire ranges across old and new hits, acoustic ballads, blues, country, folk, jazz, pop, reggae and hip-hop. They also perform every Wednesday (Ladies’ Night) at the Boudoir Lounge. Five Canadians, a Thai and a Scot make the vibrant ensemble that is Shockwave. You can catch them performing every night except Sundays at Davy Crockett’s in Hotel Diva from 9.15pm onwards. They play an eclectic mix of rock, old and new hits and will even take requests. The all-girl band Intencion takes charge of entertainment at the Al Nada Lounge in Sheraton Hotel Bahrain. They play an extensive and diverse selection of all the latest dance, pop, R&B, hip hop and rock songs. The Exchange English Pub in Ramada Bahrain has happy hours from 6pm to 10pm and live music by talented trio, The Notes. The band performs every night except Mondays. At The K Hotel’s K Lounge, unwind after work or enjoy a fun evening with friends while the Sparkling Duo entertains you. Alex and Julia excel in a wide range of musical genres and take the stage every night, except Sundays. Balq Velvet in Grand Safir Hotel is home to a six-member band called The 7th East Side & Dax Martin.
