An automotive professional with an extensive international background, he started his career at BMW Group headquarters and has held different senior management roles within BMW since. In his new role, he will be responsible for driving the BMW Group business and sales forward across 13 markets in the region. Dr Haqparwar completed his PhD from the University of St Gallen, Switzerland, holds an MBA degree from Western Carolina University in the USA, and graduated in Business Administration from the University of Mannheim, Germany. New Appointment McLaren Automotive launched a new programme to authenticate the heritage of iconic McLaren F1 supercars, coinciding with the unveiling of the first F1 to be approved for certification, the renowned ‘25R’ 1997 F1 GTR Longtail Announced at Hampton Court Concours of Elegance, the new service aims to safeguard the originality of the iconic car for future generations – guaranteeing the authenticity of both road and track versions of the Le Mans-winning supercar. Along with the certificate, owners receive a bespoke illustrated book documenting the history of their car.
