Curated by the director general of the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts, Dr Khalid Khreis, Transparencies II: Paper and Glass will continue until midNovember. An artist in her own right, HRH Princess Wijdan is an academic and scholar. She has published numerous books on traditional and contemporary Islamic art in English and Arabic and is a diplomat of international standing and an essential player in the development of the art and cultural scene in Jordan. Her current works — Murano glass sculptures and delicate paintings on rice paper — are inspired creations on the theme of love that resonate with a deeper meaning in the current environment. Explore his world through his interactive and tactile works in the impeccable installations. A number of thin rods are placed in serene geometrical settings as if static works of art. Yet a breeze passing through the forest of rods or a child’s faint touch can arouse the installation creating ripples of music. Yamamoto’s Resonance was first introduced at the Milan SaloneSatellite in April 2011, however, he has re-designed the piece specially for La Fontaine having visited the site in advance.
