Having only spent a few weeks in the country, he already feels at home and is confident he can add to the property’s success. “My first impression of the hotel was wow,” he says. “You can only research so much about a property through the Internet and via news clippings, but until you walk through the front door, you cannot imagine what’s inside.” Having worked in Oman for four years before coming to Bahrain, he is familiar with the region, its culture and customs. However, he says the level of warmth and hospitality he has seen in the Kingdom amazes him. “My general interaction with everyone I’ve met has been great, be it at work or outside,” he says. Wasting no time rolling up his sleeves and getting to work, Mark is keen to put the word out about the world-class property, particularly its F&B venues, which he hopes will appeal to his target audience, expats and Bahraini’s alike.
