TBA The wooden boy brings his mischief to the Kingdom, together with his ever-growing nose, in this fun-filled musical play for the whole family. All naughty girls and boys get a lesson in morality and conscience. Pinocchio and his long nose are here to entertain you and your family in this musical representation, brought to the island by Shakespeare4Kidz (S4K) International. The story of the wooden puppet is told with a great deal of drama, involving music and dance to weave magic on stage. A brand-new production by S4K International, the show is presented in association with Entertainment+, the company responsible for staging many theatre productions in the past. The Tempest, Bear Hunt and Ruthless Romans are some of their recent shows in Bahrain that have been staged. Pinocchio is enacted by a cast of six actor-musicians, who present a one-hour version of the Carlo Collidi story that was made famous by the Walt Disney film of the same name. In 12 episodes of melody, drama and dance, we will see how Pinocchio is first created by the wood-carver Gepetto and how he skips school to watch a puppet show. His encounter with the Fox and the Cat follows, who trick him out of his money, before he ends up inside a giant whale trying to prove he can be good enough to become a real boy. Characters such as Blue Fairy and Cricket have been written innovatively and the script keeps the show entertaining throughout while maintaining the moral behind the story alive. Scheduled for December 1-2, six shows will be staged at a soon-to-be-announced venue. Tickets go on sale from November 10 at Alosra Supermarkets and Havajava Café, inside Manazel. There are special school offers available for a limited time.
