Bahrain This Month - November 2013

46 November 2013 www.bahrainthismonth.com happeningsartsculture This month Alliance Française’s calendar of events delivers a wholesome mix of activities that caters well to the Kingdom’s insatiable cultural appetite. Initiated by two musicians who share a common love for jazz, tango and improvisational music, Latino beats and harmonic melody of tango will rule the island on November 16. For French band Free Tango their music is all about reminiscence that combines traditional tango themes, Argentinean folklore and Uruguayan candombe. The project is supported by the French Alliance Foundation and has toured some of the most prestigious tango festivals around the world. The concert starts at 8pm and is followed by a dinner. Cooking up a storm A playful afternoon full of activity is being organised for children on November 18 from 4pm to 7pm, starting with the famous Brad Bird animation movie Ratatouille.
