Conceived in Brisbane in 1997, the show made its international debut in 2008 at the Edinburgh Fringe, where it has sold out every year since. Last year it opened a residency in London’s West End and made its debut in Bahrain. The show opens on November 20 with a black-tie gala-dinner charity fundraiser in support of the RIA Institute, which will be held at the British Embassy under the patronage of HE Iain Lindsay. Suzanna Hughes An actress and voiceover artist from North London, Suzanna brings the character of Sybil to life. She graduated from drama school relatively late in life, at the age of 32. Her career spans several small TV roles, including BBC soaps such as Eastenders, Holby City and My Family and grittier drama shows such as Thorne Scardeycat. Suzanna has also appeared on several TV comedy sketch shows and has worked with stalwarts like Matt Lucas and David Walliams from The Inbetweeners. Her other work includes numerous commercials, corporate videos, health and safety infomercials, including one for London 2012 and as a presenter for company websites. She is a regular face for many high street brands, including a bingo hall chain! An experienced role player and fringe theatre performer, she particularly enjoys live theatre and is extremely excited to be performing in the Kingdom. Ed Howells A seasoned theatre figure, Ed Howells’ repertoire of performances includes Irons (Brighton Fringe), The Happy Prince (The Little Angel Theatre) and Lizzie’s Dream for the Orange Tree Theatre. His most recent engagement was the Magpie Puppet Company’s highly successful Edinburgh Fringe debut The Boy with the Cuckoo Clock Heart. While in training he performed versatile roles in plays such as The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists, Taking Steps, The Winter’s Tale and The Last Days of Judas Iscariot. A natural on stage, he is thrilled to be playing the iconic role of Manuel in Faulty Towers. Having performed across the world, the actor is especially pleased to perform in Bahrain, the point where it all started for the team. Rob Langston Rob is a London-based actor, who graduated from the Drama Studio London and has been involved in several exciting theatre projects. Some of his most significant works are with the renowned children’s theatre company, Soren Bennick. His credits include performances in the Power of One schools’ tour, the hit London theatre production You Me Bum Bum Train and the Ibsen Theatre Company’s Peer Gynt at the Riverside studios in London. A huge fan of British comedies from a young age, he also writes and has cowritten and performed in the comedy podcast, Jim and Rob’s podcast rambles. Rob plays Basil Faulty and has toured with the show throughout the UK, Belgium, South Africa and Thailand. Meet the Staff
