174 November 2013 www.bahrainthismonth.com marketplace Effortless Insurance Whether you’re renewing your insurance policy or filing an accident claim, go no further than your desk with bni's easy insurance services. bni So it looks like your insurance policy is set to expire in a few days. Must you worry? With bni’s quick renewal service, the insurer will not only send you a text message reminder of the expiry date but also provide a link you can visit to renew your policy. The quick renewal system works equally well on smart devices and computers. This facility enables you to pay for the policy renewal through a secure payment gateway and the service is available for motor, domestic servants and home insurance. “Customers have the option to receive the new insurance card at the nearest branch or even delivered by courier to their doorstep. With this quick renewal system, we’ve improved service levels further for our customers,” says Abdulla Al Suwaidi, General Manager, bni. The insurer is looking at ways to enable faster processing of accident claims and reduce the waiting time for customers at its offices. bni has also unveiled its first mobile application, which enables customers to avoid long queues by notifying bni of their claim and uploading their documents through the app. Once the bni mobile app is downloaded on a smart device, the application will prompt for a policy number and a registration number, from which customers can register their claims into the system. “Accident claims usually require loads of documentation, but once these papers are ready, customers will find it quicker to upload them through the mobile application rather than appearing at the bni office in person,” observes Abdulla. When the scanned documents and pictures of the vehicle are uploaded, the claims surveyor will be duly notified. The customer will receive a text message notification, scheduling an appointment at the garage with the surveyor to assess the vehicle damage. A notification button enables users to see updates sent by bni for the payment of any excess or change in claim status. Once the customer has paid any fees due over the secure gateway, the claim is ready to be processed. The application, which is available on any Android or Apple device, will reduce the claim registration process substantially. “Processing of claims will also be faster since there’s a dedicated bni employee handling these cases,” observes Abdulla. The application will be able to accept claim requests 24/7. Customers wishing to make a complaint can press the ‘communicate with us’ button through the app, allowing them to send a free text message to the company detailing their grievance. A ‘claim list’ on the app displays a history of the claim events and the status of each claim. E Call visit www.bnidirect.com.
