VIVA Following the huge success of its participation at GITEX in 2012, VIVA Bahrain attended this year’s edition of the show as well. The company showcased its state-of-the-art technology and infrastructure as part of the STC Group and also signed key agreements with the Ministry of Health (MoH) and King Hamad University Hospital during the event. Through its strategic agreement, VIVA will provide the latest in technology and ICT solutions to assist in building the capacity and skills needed within the MoH. Both organisations will collaborate to further strengthen Bahrain’s health system and the end-to-end patient experience. They will jointly deploy the latest technologies that will help local health entities to adopt global best practice and clinical operating models. During GITEX 2013, VIVA also signed an agreement with the King Hamad University Hospital (KHUH) to provide 50MB dedicated Internet access as well as a secure, robust and highquality network service through its dedicated business unit, VIVA Enterprise. The partnership will further enable rapid and smooth flow of information between various health entities and allow KHUH to access vital information and data to enhance patient experience. VIVA also showcased its social media leadership at GITEX with its ‘Tweet for a Treat’ machine, the first of its kind to be introduced in Bahrain.
