Tremendous value has been delivered in every respect, such as the enlarged dimensions with a new stylish exterior design and a quality spacious interior that exceeds its class.” The Yaris exterior design reflects the iconic, bold and simple design echoed by Toyota’s ‘Vibrant Clarity’ design theme to create an impressive look that is a cut above comparable sedans. Both the front and rear designs express a wide, strong and unified stance to create an elegant appearance with seamlessly integrating lamps, chassis and other elements. Additionally, it demonstrates remarkable attention to detail in the design and engineering of the vehicle, encompassing a smart, interior design and a quiet, refined passenger cabin that is responsive to the driving dynamics. The new Yaris has a comfortable and roomy interior. The instrument panel, set along a horizontal axis, runs the entire width of the cabin, creating a spacious and distinctive presence. Lavish ornamentation has been used for various interior features and switches. Precision technology has been used to create moulded stitching that looks like actual stitching. The Yaris comes with a wide colour line-up that meets a variety of needs. A total of eight exterior colours are available, including three newly developed colours. These include Quartz Brown ME, which has been newly developed in pursuit of a colour that combines the shine of metal with a deep, threedimensional feel. The Silky Beige ME scheme exudes a luxurious feel with shading like that of silk, while the Frozen Blue ME option offers a strong, bright blue hue that emphasises a cool sportiness. The sedan is powered with either a 1.5- or 1.3-litre engine and with the option of a four-speed automatic gearbox or a five-speed manual gearbox. From a safety perspective, the car offers an impressive array of features such as standard driver and front-passenger dual-stage airbags. In common with all Toyota vehicles, the Yaris features Toyota’s Star Safety System, which includes the anti-lock braking system, brake assist and electronic brake force distribution. Meanwhile, the audio system features a USB jack which is compatible with portable media players such as an iPod. The display size has also been increased from one line to three lines, enabling the track name, artist name, and CD album name to be displayed.
