Lit sparingly, the highlight is the indoor cold-food buffet serving appetisers, salads, fruits and desserts. Kenza does everything right with a stylish panache in a feel-good atmosphere. Several family rooms are available for privacy and for groups, but it is the large outdoor patio that really makes the difference. Located on the first floor of the hotel, this venue provides an authentic Arabic dining experience. With one-of-a-kind lanterns and sofas plus the gardens and whimsical lighting, the outdoor area has a truly unique feel and ambience. Warm summer nights lend themselves to Kenza’s patio; breathe in fresh air, talk to friends or enjoy shisha in a selection of flavours under the stars. The Arabian buffet boasts live cooking stations, featuring ‘build your own shawarma’ made with freshly baked breads cooked before your eyes. Select the number and types of kebabs you desire from an array of options; they are delivered to your table when cooked perfectly by your chef. To the side of the cooking station is a selection of hot dishes. Biryani, soups, pasta and a selection of warm appetisers such as kibbeh can be matched to the cold hummus and moutabel. While the buffet, offered at BD8++, is not the totality of the Lebanese restaurant’s offerings, it is a great way to sample the cuisine and to get a taste of what else is on the menu. Few restaurants introduce you to their fuller menus as does The K Hotel; even fewer have the ability to offer them with both indoor and outdoor options. While the designers of the patio must be applauded, it is the chefs and the attendant staff who will draw you back.
