124 July 2014 www.bahrainthismonth.com Every year for Ramadan, Coral Bay hosts a dining experience called ‘Ramadan by the Sea’. “This is an entertaining family and friends’ gathering where all the excitement, food and culture is combined together to give everyone the best Ramadan experience possible,” says restaurant manager, Ramzi Al Awar. “This year is going to be bigger and better than ever.” Guests will be spoilt for choice trying to choose from two venues, Rayés and the Karma Lounge. Or better still, why not get the experience of both? Serving authentic Lebanese cuisine, Rayés will be decked out with two large and seven big plasma television screens for guests to enjoy World Cup matches. “The idea is to spice up the venue’s atmosphere with a bigger crowd from dusk until dawn,” says Ramzi. “Every year, we embrace the Holy Month as it is the most significant family-friendly annual event in our calendar, attracting a multicultural audience.” A tent has been set up on the Karma Lounge terrace overlooking the marina. Available for private Iftars and Ghabgas till 3am, it can accommodate up to 300 people for special functions or for normal bookings. Traditional delicacies Feast from a variety of dishes at Coral Bay’s Iftar, which will feature all the Ramadan favourites such as lentil soup, saj manses, falafel, shawarma, poultry, and different varieties of fateh, harees, and lots more. Refresh your palates with special Ramadan drinks such as tamar hindi, qamar al dine, rose water sahlab and fresh ayran yogurt. Top off your Ramadan meal with a traditional array of homemade Lebanese sweets and enjoy live entertainment provided by a one-man show, singing with an acoustic oud. The Iftar buffet from Sundays to Wednesdays is priced at BD13++ and from Thursdays to Saturdays at BD15++. The Ghabga buffet is BD13++ from Saturdays to Wednesdays and BD15++ on Thursdays and Fridays. Eid Eid lunch buffet at Rayés is priced at BD15++ and includes entertainment from 2.30pm to 5pm. Dinner includes a set menu at BD19++, with a belly dancer and a female singer from 10pm to 2am. Coral Bay is located on the Al Fateh Corniche and has its own beach offering views of the Manama harbour.
