Believed to have originated in France around the 12th century, the tradition of King’s Cake celebrates the coming of the three wise men bearing gifts 12 days after Christmas on the Feast of the Epiphany on Jan 6 — also known as Twelfth Night or King’s Day. A figurine, which can represent anything from a car to a cartoon character, is hidden in the cake and the person who finds the trinket in their slice becomes king for the day and will have to offer the next cake. The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain Hotel & Spa invites you, till January 3, to be part of this tradition and additionally enjoy great food from 10am till 11pm. Call 17 586-499.
