Turn to page 86 for our review of the A 45. AMG are also bringing us their version of Mercedes’s top-end model, the S 63 AMG, which we’ve also been lucky enough to take a look at, and can confirm that it is a truly awesome machine! Almoayyed Motors (Ford) The 2014 Ford Fusion boasts a completely revamped look and package, including segment leading driver assistance and convenience technologies based on sensors, cameras and radar that enable the car to see and respond. And a completely new model is coming from Ford this year too. The EcoSport is their all-new economy model that is built in India, and represents Ford’s most affordable offering. Ebrahim K. Kanoo (Toyota and Lexus) The Corolla, one of Toyota’s most successful models, enjoys an all-new look this year, coming with added technologies to improve driver enjoyment, including an all-new 2.0l engine. The 2014 Lexus GX model gets the signature spindle-grille for a more distinctive appearance, and the change is also functional thanks to the addition of LEDs for the headlamps, daytime running lights and fog lamps. The new Lexus LX features a unique Sport edition creating a distinct look for the luxury SUV, with front and rear bumper spoilers and fog lamp bezel. While the 2014 Lexus GS features a new 8-speed automatic transmission offering quicker shifts, new interior and exterior colours with styling enhancements. With the recently launched new generation Lexus IS, every aspect of the vehicle has been engineered with a renewed focus on engaging performance, agile handling, accurate response to driver input and highly communicative feedback. Euro Motors (BMW, Maserati, Jaguar and Land Rover) From BMW, the all-new 4 Series replaces the BMW 3 Series Coupe, and represents the first step in a redesignation of BMW model numbers, with even numbers representing Coupes, and odd numbers being given to sedans. Also new for 2014 is the third generation BMW X5, which now comes with an optional third row offering seven seats for the first time in the model’s history! An exciting all-new model from Maserati made the rounds of all the motor shows last year. The Ghibli is now the entrylevel model for the brand’s range, offering the brand’s luxury, style and driving dynamics in a compact sedan package. Another all-new model that has the motoring world buzzing, the Jaguar F-Type is the gorgeous two-seater sports car from the British luxury brand, coming with two engine choices: Jaguar’s new 3.0-litre V6 supercharged petrol engine in 335hp and 375hp outputs and its 5.0-litre V8 supercharged petrol producing 488hp. Featuring a more highly tuned version of the same V8 is the new full-size sports sedan the Jaguar XJR, which boasts 542hp and 680Nm of torque. We’ll take both please! There have been big things happening at the British maker of luxury SUVs, Land Rover, with the revamped luxury CUV, the 2014 Range Rover Evoque, hitting the market late last year. Also new for 2014 is the Land Rover LR4, with a new highly efficient 3.0-litre V6 supercharged petrol engine replacing the 5.0-litre V8. However, the hottest news for the brand was the launch of the all-new Range Rover Sport, which takes its place alongside the all-new Range Rover which was launched early last year.
