PHOTOGRAPHIC ADVENTURES FEBRUARY 6 EXHIBITION InTouch Gallery Drama, colours and contrasts compose the beautiful clicks by Khaled Matahen, who showcases his photographic works at his latest exhibition at InTouch Gallery. A lover of polar opposites of high contrast, severe light and shade and the symmetry and geometry of architecture, Khalid has been dabbling with art since a young age. He is a self-taught photographer with over 40 years experience. At middle school, he experimented with painting and drawing before he moved on to photography. Khalid studied engineering in the USA and served the US Air Force for 13 years, during which he developed his artistic output and expression. His first exhibition was in 1986, in an Air Force base in Illinois, after which he constantly won Air Force-wide photography contests. Many of Khaled’s expressive abstracted paintings were born out of the Gulf War.
