AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation launched the second edition of the Youth Enrichment Programme under the theme of “Leadership Skills” at a meeting which brought together programme coordinators and participants’ parents to discuss plans, objectives, support and training opportunities. Amlak Social Insurance Organization Development Company, the real estate arm and wholly owned subsidiary of the Social Insurance Organization (SIO), announced the appointment of Al Ghanah Group as the main contractor for the construction of the new development project ‘Burj Al Saya’. This is a residential development which will be constructed in Busaiteen, northern Muharraq. The new development will feature two twin towers comprising of 128 apartments, a two-storey parking podium and 13 retail units on the ground floor. Princess Al Jawhara Center for Genetics of the Arabian Gulf University (AGU) has obtained the accreditation of the College of American Pathologies for the second year running, following an expert review. The Princess Al Jawhara Center is the first in Bahrain to receive this accreditation, which is one of the most important quality control and safety standards in laboratory diagnostic work in the world. AGU president Dr Khalid bin Abdulrahman Al Ohaly congratulated the team and the centre director general Dr Moez Bakhit said the accreditation confirms that the Princess Al Jawhara Center has advanced standards at the level of procedures and results, including all its specialised laboratories in cellular genetics, molecular genetics and metabolic diseases. The Fintech Consortium announced the appointment of Khalid Esam Saad as CEO of Bahrain FinTech Bay (BFB), to work closely with the board and lead the development of the company’s strategy overseeing the implementation of its long- and short-term objectives. He will provide the senior leadership required to coordinate and communicate with the various stakeholders of BFB, including founding partners, government bodies, local and international fintech firms, amongst others. Khalid will also oversee all the partnerships, activities and management of the local team of Bahrain FinTech Bay.
