Coral Bay Los Angeles rapper, singer and songwriter Dev (aka Devin Star Tailes) makes electronic, hip-hopinfluenced and danceoriented pop music based around her deadpan vocal delivery. Active on the music scene since 1999 after her MySpace cover of Amy Winehouse’s Blonde Trick caught the attention of hip-hop duo the Cataracs. She collaborated with them on several tracks, including 2Nite, Fireball and Booty Bounce, which was sampled on hit single Like a G6. Her single Bass Down Low charted on Billboard’s Hot 100 and she has continued producing with an album in 2011 and an EP in 2014 released after the birth of her first child. To mark the occasion Brazil Lounge presents a night in the singer’s honour. The party starts at 5pm with an after brunch reggae session of good vibes and cool tunes from DJ Swing, one of Bahrain’s favorite spinners, followed by guest VDJ Chino from Abu Dhabi. Chino has played across the region and has opened for various big reggae artists including Wayne Wonder, Jay Sean, Konshens just to mention a few.
