From February 1-7, Plums restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain Hotel & Spa is where you need to be to sample haute treats from the French Riviera. The special event offers a unique a la carte menu created by one of the hotel’s most talented chefs, Yann Bernard Lejard, reflecting traditional dishes from Cannes to Monte Carlo. Among the new items on the seasonal menu are mini stuffed Mediterranean vegetables accompanied by foie gras and zucchini coulis. For the main course, chef Yann recommends the seafood platter, which combines oysters, mussels, clams, shrimps and garlic mayonnaise. Another highlight is the bouillabaisse prepared with the local catch of the day, rouille sauce, croutons and emmental cheese. To round up your French Riviera experience, try the roasted pineapple with vanilla, fresh fruit taboulé and mango sorbet. As the event is happening during the first GCC Cancer Awareness Week, the Plums team is partnering up with Bahrain Cancer Society for its “Bon Appétit for Hope” programme, and will be collecting BD1 per person per bill to support the Bahrain Cancer Society fund. It offers authentic Middle Eastern hospitality and great gastronomy with a fresh new take. Located at the Platinum Tower in the busy Seef area, Kasbah provides all-day dining. Open from 8am-1am, the venue offers traditional and international breakfast options, a variety of business lunch and dinner dishes and is an ideal retreat to end your day at. Its menu is vast and boasts a number of signature food and drink offerings. While the theme of the restaurant is modern Arabesque, the menu is international and offers true value to its customers. Thanks to the reasonable prices, dining out at Kasbah is all about relaxation and comfort. The Yellow Lemon restaurant in Zinj, now under a new management, welcomes you with a brand new menu and a fresh vibe. The new chef and his team have introduced a number of Indian dishes and will soon be adding delicacies from the Far East to the menu as well. The party hall upstairs has been refurbished and is an ideal spot to host casual get-togethers and parties.
