The Womania Winterfest is a twoday festival featuring unique competitions, special performances, workshops and talks, alongside food, entertainment, music, shopping, a pop up bazaar, live music, art and poetry. The event will be inaugurated by Mona Almoayyed, who is a businesswoman, women’s rights campaigner, philanthropist, environmentalist and regularly features on the list of most influential Arab women. Lacing the inaugural programme will be a one-off parade by women representing the various nationalities, professions and vocations of Bahrain, showcasing their unity in multicultural diversity, as well as the vital role that women play in society. There will be a grand celebration of womanhood through live painting sessions by artists from different countries, poetry presentations on the glory of womanhood by poets from the Bahrain Writers’ Circle, free workshops by the Bahrain Women’s Association, and a panel discussion – ‘Challenges Women Face Today: special focus on work-life balance’ featuring eminent women speakers from Bahrain. Other women’s organisations that will participate in this event are Women’s Crisis Care International, the Indian Ladies Association and American Women’s Association.
