The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain is hosting the DeLonghi Bahraini Chef Competition, a dedicated two-day cooking contest for Bahraini nationals. The event will take place during the Kingdom’s National Day celebrations and aims to empower the aspiring chefs of Bahrain to develop further in their field of choice. Candidates who wish to apply are required to be a minimum of 18 years of age and are to post a video of themselves making a dish of their choice on Instagram tagging @BahrainYoungChefs and using the hashtag #BahrainiChefCompetition. A panel of judges composed of five renowned chefs and food connoisseurs will review the videos and create a shortlist of candidates. The final line-up of 16 participants will battle it out for glory. Shaikh Ebrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Center for Culture and Heritage ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS The Shaikh Ebrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Center for Culture and Heritage is hosting the opening of the exhibition 15/15 – a celebration of cultural and architectural heritage seen through the prism of contemporary art. The exhibition opens at 15 venues all over Manama and Muharraq on December 15 and will remain on display until March 15, 2017. In January 2017, the Shaikh Ebrahim Center will celebrate its 15th anniversary. On this occasion, the centre is commissioning 15 artists to create individual site-specific projects in 15 of the restored historical Bahraini houses belonging to the centre. The exhibition will be the lead event in a series celebrating this important milestone. The individual projects each have a direct connection to the building, forming a unique response and dialogue.
