From December 5 to January 3, 2017, a tuck shop at the lobby will sell homemade chocolate truffles, Christmas cookies, fruit cake, mince pies and many more seasonal delicacies straight from the hotel’s kitchen. To mark the Kingdom’s National Day on December 16, the Bahrain Bay Kitchen will stage a Bahraini themed buffet from 12.30pm to 3.30pm. Guests can enjoy authentic dishes like ghouzi, prawn mmawwash and date cheese cake as well as local music. As part of the hotel’s Kids for All Seasons programme, Alhosh kids’ club will be organising endless fun activities for children on the day, free for in-house and buffet guests. Adults can pamper themselves with 20-percent savings on select spa treatments with the added benefit of an amenity gift on the day. On Christmas Eve and New Year, Bahrain Bay Kitchen will stage a live band and a spectacular evening buffet. Expect delicacies like pan-seared scallops with celeriac fondue, roast turkey with trimmings, Brussels sprouts, chestnut stuffing and cranberry sauce, 24-hour slow-cooked Wagyu short ribs, ginger bread pudding, Christmas fruit cake, panettone and stollen on the big day before Christmas. On December 31, guests can enjoy a seafood bar, roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, Linzer torte, homemade macaroons, handmade chocolate truffles and chocolate soufflé. The venue will also host New Year’s Day brunch on January 1. On Christmas day, Al Bahrain Ballroom will serve festive dishes such as marinated salmon, roast turkey with trimmings, Brussels sprouts, chestnut stuffing and cranberry sauce. Guests can also enjoy a seafood bar on ice with freshly shucked rock oysters from the UK, Omani lobster, marinated calamari and mussels from New Zealand, as well as Yule Log, Christmas pudding, panettone, stollen and mince pies, along with live entertainment. CUT by Wolfgang Puck will have a holiday inspired four-course meal on the nights of December 24 and 25. The restaurant will also host a Christmas Day brunch. For New Year’s Eve, a five-course dinner including Maine lobster bisque, chanterelle mushrooms, wild tarragon Australian wagyu and rib eye steak will be served, accompanied with live music. The venue will also host a scrumptious brunch on January 1 to get over the previous night’s revelry. A Dim Sum brunch will be on at re Asian Cuisine on December 24 and 31, while plans on the big night of New Year’s Eve are for a seven-course meal including Russian beluga caviar and roasted fivespiced French duck breast. Tunes from a DJ will make for a great time. Vento will have a set menu dinner on Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Expect to be wowed by Boston lobster salad with panzanella and basil pesto, and tourbot cutlet with morel mushroom. Party animals can dance away at Azure Pool & Lounge on December 31.
