A Construction Artwork NASS CORPORATION BSC This month sees the opening of a wonderful new public park located at the Hidd end of the third crossing to Muharraq. The Prince Khalifa Park is visually-splendid with an impressive array of facilities and amenities inclusive of something for everyone. The company behind the success of the project is Nass Contracting, a subsidiary of Nass Corporation, who used eight other Nass Group companies for the project completion. With over 40 years of experience in major construction projects, Nass Contracting have a steadfast reputation for quality service, and the Prince Khalifa Park is a solid sign of this as is the fact that the company completed the project one month ahead of schedule. The construction work includes the centerpiece which is the observation tower, shopping arcade, restaurant, food court, café, Jet Ski station, substation and the marina with fuelling facility. All of these elements were designed to make the park more impressive and exciting with activities such as a skate park and the opportunity to hire bicycles. Nass Landscapes beautified the park by planting a huge variety of trees including palms, ornamental trees, shrubs, flowers and large lawn areas. The landscaping was created specifically with Bahrain’s harsh environment in mind. Nass Electrical Contracting Company was behind the entire lighting and electrical elements within the park. This team made it possible for the park to be as enjoyable after sunset as during the day. Nass International Trading installed the rare outdoor observation elevator that features a highly impressive panoramic view of the beach and is fully equipped with air conditioning. Safety elements are also included such as a backup battery to ensure an uninterrupted power supply. The design of the observation elevator was created to improve energy saving and offer comfortable riding to its users. Nass International Trading also provided the dumbwaiter which is installed within the restaurant and provides a method to carry objects or food items from the kitchen floor to the service floor. Artland Interior, a division of Nass Group, attended to all external and internal timberwork and joinery — in particular the gazebos, pergolas and timber bridges. Delmon Ready Mix supplied all the concrete and Delmon Precast provided the architectural precast items and street furniture. Finally, Nass Asphalt supplied the asphalting materials. The Prince Khalifa Park is a wonderful asset for Bahrain built by a Bahraini company, and is just one of the projects that the Nass Group of companies has undertaken. The Arad Bay Recreational Area, also in Muharraq and also built by Nass Corporation, has proved to be a great success and is a very popular destination for families looking to spend time in the open air in a safe and attractive environment.
