Al Haddad Motors has unveiled the all-new Mercedes-Benz CLA at its Tubli showroom, marking the model’s arrival in Bahrain during a milestone year for the marque as it celebrates 140 years since Carl Benz invented the automobile in 1886. The latest CLA combines electrified performance with a more intelligent digital ecosystem, while retaining the engineering refinement that has long defined Mercedes-Benz. It represents the latest chapter in the brand’s compact luxury range, pairing hybrid efficiency with the marque’s signature refinement. Its coupé-inspired silhouette is characterised by a shark-nose front, sculpted powerdomes, frameless doors and a flowing roofline that reinforces its athletic stance. An illuminated radiator grille and available MULTIBEAM LED headlamps featuring Mercedes-Benz star detailing create a distinctive front profile, while redesigned rear LED lights joined by a full-width light strip enhance its presence. Aerodynamically optimised surfaces, flush door handles and wheels measuring up to 19 inches complete the refined exterior. Power comes from a newly developed 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine paired with an intelligent 48-volt hybrid system. The integrated electric motor, working alongside an eight-speed dual-clutch electrified transmission, assists acceleration, recuperates energy and enhances both responsiveness and efficiency. Depending on driving conditions, the system can also enable electric coasting and low-speed electric driving. Inside, a redesigned two-tier centre console offers additional storage alongside an available wireless smartphone charging pad, while new sports seats provide enhanced support. A fixed panoramic glass roof floods the interior with natural light, creating a sense of space. At the heart of the CLA’s technology is the Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS), a chip-to-cloud platform that connects the vehicle’s infotainment and driver assistance functions while enabling over-the-air software updates. Available with the MBUX Superscreen, the dashboard can incorporate three integrated displays, giving both the driver and front passenger access to information and entertainment. The AI-powered MBUX Virtual Assistant further personalises the experience by learning driver preferences and enabling more natural voice interaction. Available features also include MBUX Surround Navigation with 3D visualisation, Google Maps-based navigation, wireless smartphone integration and a Burmester® 3D surround sound system with 16 speakers and Dolby Atmos®. Mercedes-Benz has also equipped the CLA with an extensive suite of driver assistance technologies. Depending on specification, available systems include Active Brake Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Assist, adaptive cruise control, ATTENTION ASSIST, PRESAFE® and advanced parking assistance. These are complemented by a rigid passenger cell, carefully engineered crumple zones and comprehensive occupant protection systems.
