Bahrain This Month - August 2026

bahrainthismonth.com | AUGUST 2026 INDIA IN BAHRAIN 34 What first brought you to Bahrain, and what convinced you to build your career here? I first came to Bahrain over 30 years ago with the hope of building a better future for myself and my family. Like many people, I arrived with ambition, determination and a willingness to work hard. What made me stay was the country itself. Bahrain gave me opportunities to grow, both professionally and personally. The business environment is welcoming, people are approachable and there is a genuine spirit of collaboration. Over the years, Bahrain has become my second home, and I feel proud to have built Four Square Innovation here before expanding across the GCC. Looking back on your journey with Four Square Innovation, what have been the defining moments for both the company and your own growth as a leader? One of the biggest turning points was deciding that we did not want to be known simply as an LED screen supplier. We wanted to become design architects for immersive digital experiences, helping clients use technology to create meaningful customer engagement Expanding into Saudi Arabia was another major milestone. It challenged us to think bigger while building stronger teams capable of competing on a much larger stage. Personally, I have learned that leadership is not about having all the answers. It is about building the right team, earning trust, making difficult decisions when needed and continuing to learn every day. Every challenge has made me a better entrepreneur and a better leader. What makes Bahrain such a strong place to build and grow a business? Bahrain is a country where relationships matter. Business decisions are often made quickly, the leadership encourages innovation and entrepreneurs are given room to grow. Its location also makes it an excellent gateway to the GCC. Beyond geography, it is the people and the supportive business community that make Bahrain special. I have experienced that first-hand throughout my journey. The digital signage industry continues to evolve. Which developments do you believe will shape its future? We are moving into a future where digital displays are becoming smarter, more interactive and more connected. Artificial intelligence, realtime content management, MicroLED technology, transparent displays, 3D visuals and data-driven communication will transform how businesses connect with customers. I believe digital signage will no longer be seen as just a screen. It will become an essential part of the customer experience, helping businesses communicate more effectively and create memorable customer experiences. Your work spans retail, hospitality, banking and education. How do you approach the different needs of each industry? The technology may be similar, but every industry has different expectations. Retail is about attracting customers and increasing sales. Hospitality is about creating memorable guest experiences. Banking focuses on trust, clarity and customer convenience. Education is about making learning more engaging. We always begin by understanding what the client wants to achieve before recommending any technology. That is why we describe ourselves as design architects rather than product suppliers. Having worked across both India and the Gulf, what insights have you gained from doing business in each market? India teaches you resilience, innovation and the ability to find solutions with limited resources. The Gulf teaches you the importance of quality, execution and delivering projects to international standards. Having worked in both regions has given me a balanced perspective. While every market is different, strong relationships and delivering on your commitments remain the foundation of successful business everywhere. As economic ties continue to deepen, where do you see the greatest opportunities for future collaboration between India and Bahrain? I believe the opportunities are only growing stronger. Technology, smart cities, digital infrastructure, healthcare, education, renewable energy and manufacturing all offer tremendous potential. Bahrain is an ideal gateway for Indian companies looking to expand into the GCC, while Indian talent and innovation can continue to contribute to Bahrain’s economic growth. I see the relationship between the two countries becoming even stronger over the coming years. What guidance can you offer to young Indian professionals looking to build a career or business in Bahrain? My advice is simple: be patient, stay humble and never stop learning. Success does not happen overnight. Build your reputation through consistent hard work. Respect the local culture and build lasting relationships. Focus on creating value rather than chasing quick results. Bahrain is a country that recognises genuine effort. If you are willing to learn, adapt and work hard, the opportunities here are immense. Thinking Bigger Having built Four Square Innovation from Bahrain into a business serving clients across the GCC, Founder and CEO Jaideep Narindra reflects on three decades in the Kingdom, the lessons that have shaped his leadership and the growing opportunities between Bahrain and India.
