womanthismonth.com | AUGUST 2025 IN HER SHOES 107 IN HER SHOES This month, we take a walk in the shoes of Nadeen Yateem, Social Media Executive at Chery, who shares insights into her role, strategic thinking and the values that guide her work in her role. What does a typical workday look like for you? No two days are ever the same, which is what I love about this role. My mornings usually begin with reviewing performance metrics and engaging with our online community. From there, it’s a mix of planning content calendars, coordinating with the creative team, attending meetings and staying on top of global automotive and digital trends. There’s always something exciting in the pipeline, whether it’s a campaign launch or a new model release. What motivates you to work? I’m driven by creativity, specifically the power of digital media to shape perception and spark real connections. Seeing how our content impacts customer engagement or brand loyalty keeps me inspired. Plus, working in an industry that’s constantly evolving challenges me to grow and stay creative What have been some defining career milestones? Redefining Chery Bahrain’s social media tone of voice and strategy was a major one. Shifting from a product-focused to a community-driven narrative helped us foster a deeper connection with our audience. Describe your leadership style in one line Collaborative and always open to fresh ideas. If you weren’t in this role, what alternative career path would you have pursued? Definitely something within the creative or athletic space, maybe a full-time Muay Thai fighter or working in sports media. I’ve always been drawn to high-energy, purpose-driven work that allows me to express different sides of myself. Nadeen Yateem Social Media Executive at Chery What advice would you offer to someone just starting a career in marketing within the automobile industry? Understand the product but never forget the people. Cars are an emotional purchase, and great marketing speaks to lifestyle, values and aspirations, not just specs and features. Stay curious and always be ready to adapt. Your fave travel destination? And next one? My favourite so far has been Thailand. Between the food, the culture and the Muay Thai training, it felt like home. Next up, I’m hoping to explore Switzerland to be around the nature and animals and live a simple lifestyle for a bit. One piece of advice? Don’t wait for permission to lead. Whether you’re just starting out or years into your career, speak up, take initiative and let your work reflect your values. Anything new and exciting coming up at Chery Bahrain that we should look out for? Yes! Chery is always bringing new things to the table so you should definitely stay on the lookout on our Instagram @CheryBahrain for exciting things to come up Coffee or Tea? Tea. Instagram or TikTok?
