The companies operate in tech subsectors such as cloud and enterprise software, cybersecurity, fintech, mental health, e-commerce and mobile gaming. GFH has invested in the portfolio alongside strategic partners, which include leading and emerging techfocused asset managers. “This transaction marks GFH’s fourth major technology investment offering and second in the US in under a year. It is an area where we continue to focus and strategically expand our portfolio. This investment offers diversified exposure to high-growth, late-stage pre-IPO businesses with wide economic moats that make it a unique and compelling proposition.,” said GFH Chief Investment Officer, Hammad Younas. The portfolio provides diversified exposure to tech verticals that are at the forefront of the global digital revolution giving it minority stakes in Automation Anywhere, Tanium, StockX, Rapyd, Scopely, Robinhood, Kraken, Lyra Health and Klaviyo, among others. The investment is expected to generate attractive returns for GFH and its investors. TECHNOLOGY GIANTS Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, has appointed two Bahrainis in executive and management roles: Adnan Hashim as Chief Financial Officer and Jamal AlKuwaiti as Human Resources Director. Mr. Hashim has over 25 years of experience in the banking and finance industry and was previously the Chief Financial Officer of Aluminium Bahrain (ALBA), and prior to that held the same role at NCB Capital, the region’s leading investment firm and Saudi Arabia’s largest asset manager. He sat on numerous boards, executive committees, audit committees and compensation and governance committees of various financial institutions and has served as the Chairman of ACCA Members’ Advisory Committee, Bahrain. Mr. AlKuwaiti has over two decades of working experience, of which 15 years were concentrated in human resources management field. He brings to Gulf Air diverse professional human resources experience from government, semi government and private sector which includes Aluminium Bahrain (ALBA) and Azadea retail group. Gulf Air is a leader in the Bahrainisation programme in the Kingdom, providing the opportunity for local and experienced talents to work in its various areas of the airline’s business. The Kingdom of Bahrain launched its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030 portal, the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) announced. The site, hosted at www.sdgs.gov.bh , documents and tracks the Kingdom’s progress in achieving the SDGs, which were launched by the United Nations (UN) in 2000. Bahrain adopted them, ensuring their compatibility with Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 and its development programs. “The website will achieve a number of objectives, including sharing the Kingdom’s SDGs initiatives on one unified digital portal, tracking all related indices, and providing a reference for international personalities and organisations. It will also familiarise the private sector and other stakeholders with the SDGs, in turn encouraging them to contribute towards achieving them and showcasing their achievements,” said iGA Chief Executive, Mohammed Ali Al Qaed. The Higher Committee for Information and Communication Technology, chaired by HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, approved the launch of this national portal, which will highlight the Kingdom’s efforts, enabling all government, private, and civil society organisations to showcase their achievements in line with the SDG’s.
