The 2021 theme was ‘Yoga for Well-Being’. The International Day of Yoga has been celebrated annually on 21 June since 2015, following its inception in the United Nations General Assembly in 2014. Yoga, which originated in India, is said to provide the practitioner with a wide range of health benefits and is known worldwide for its calming effect.
