His Excellency Alok Kumar Sinha, Indian Ambassador, showed Liz O’Reilly around the rather fabulous new embassy in Seef whilst talking all things trade and culture. And Liz also caught up with Kishore Kumar, whose son, Shanthosh, has his sights set on a Formula One future. Bahrain’s Indian community is nothing if not active and sociable, so we’ve put together an updated listing of clubs and societies. And, for those planning a visit to the subcontinent, I would recommend you check-out the round-up of very special train journeys. Our interview section this month features something of a coup in the shape of the first Bahrain interview with Vice Admiral Scott Stearney, the new man in command of US Naval Forces Central Command, the US 5th Fleet and the Combined Maritime Forces. Among other things, he says its time to change tactics to keep potential adversaries off guard.
