With a University of Passau (Germany) diploma in business administration, he kickstarted his BMW career in 2000 as a parts business consultant and worked his way up, holding a number of senior positions in sales, aftersales, sales channel development and business development. He joined RollsRoyce in 2015, with his most recent role as head of Bespoke, overseeing record sales and the continuous development of the Rolls-Royce Bespoke business, of which the Middle East is a leading region. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös was pleased to announce that: “César has an exceptional track record and, with his broad experience and in-depth knowledge of the business and the region, he is ideally positioned to take on this new role.” New Blood The first collaboration between Nissan and Italdesign, the Nissan GT-R50 made its world debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in Chichester, England, last month. The vehicle commemorates the 50th anniversaries of both the GT-R, in 2019, and Italdesign, in 2018. The car is developed, engineered and manufactured by Italdesign, combining Nissan’s latest GT-R NISMO with European-style brute force and Italian artistry. Italdesign plans to produce no more than 50 of these tailormade beauties. Significant design features include a distinct power bulge on the hood, stretched LED headlights, a lowered roofline and prominent ‘samurai blade’ cooling outlets behind the front wheels. The muscular exterior is finished in a Liquid Kinetic Gray colour, with Energetic Sigma Gold anniversary accents. The interior reflects modernity and elegance with its black Alcantara and fine black Italian leather seats coupled with a cockpit that echoes the gold accents of the exterior. A Re-imagined Supercar For versatile and comfortable everyday driving, Renault Middle East welcomes the all-new Duster. With modern and robust exterior styling, the SUV’s exterior boasts a wide chrome-finish grille extending to the headlights, a front skid plate and Renault’s signature C-shaped lighting with LED daytime running lights. Additionally, its reinvented interior includes ‘Easy Life’ features such as Hill Descent Control, Multiview Camera and Blind Spot Warning, 4x4 monitor, Remote Engine Start (GCC only), automatic air conditioning, a touchscreen tablet and keyless entry system. It also has new safety features and improved 4WD driving experience, offering what is among the market’s very best off-road capabilities. Renault Middle East managing director, Marwan Haidamous, is confident the new Duster will “reinvent and reinvigorate the brand to new levels of performance and positive opinion”. The new Duster is available in both 2WD and 4WD specifications. The new INFINITI QX50 premium SUV made its first Middle East appearance in Dubai, UAE, last month. Markus Leithe, managing director Middle East at INFINITI Motor Company says: “The Middle East is a key focus region for INFINITI globally and the all-new QX50 is one of the most important vehicles we’ve unveiled here in the past year.” The QX50 is the first in the world to be powered by the four-cylinder, 2.0-litre VC-Turbo (Variable Compression Turbo) gasoline engine, one that can vary compression ratio on the fly, offering the power of a sprinter and the efficiency of a marathon runner. Additionally, the advanced safety features of this car are noteworthy, along with its striking design. The all-new QX50 will be available at INFINTI showrooms in the Middle East from September 2018.
