114 August 2012 BTM afterdarkhappenings Having just completed a six-month gig in Shenyang in China, Atomic Milkshake, which gained the labels of club superstars and local celebrities, received such an overwhelming response that its people are already looking to bring them back to the mainland. However, Club Buffalo has won this battle and brings this mix of diverse music styles to its stage. Fronted by Steve ‘Slim Boogaloo’ Miller, Linzee and Sharon, this all-American band takes you on a musical journey that crosses a lot of territories. Steve covers everything from cutting edge hip-hop to rap songs; watch out for his Michael Jackson impersonation. Linzee is their saucy pop diva, bringing her unique flavour of street and sweet tracks. A must-see is her performance of Nirvana’s Smells like Teen Spirit. Just don’t expect it to be generic; from Jill Scott to Katy Perry, Linzee always adds her own touch. Sharon is the band’s secret weapon. A stunning beauty with a surprisingly powerful voice, she takes on the more traditional vocal chores. No melodic acrobatics or crazy choreography, just pure singing; all the time letting you know that the voice is the star. The singers are supported by Randall at the keys, an established producer, and the best salsa dancer in the group, Sammy ‘Punky’ Balfour, a beast on the drums with his own show within the show. Zack is a Berklee grad guitarist with serious jazz and gospel chops. He looks forward to showing you his take on Sweet Child of Mine. CJ is the bassist, second keyboardist and an amazing vocalist with a voice that is a cross between Marvin Gaye and Neo. Are you ready to dance? E Call 39 688-207.
